Amanda Neri is an award-winning singer and director who loves to write. She has written two musicals winning the Cork Theatre Critic’s Award for best newcomer. Her other writing includes poetry and short stories. Her children’s book, The Golden Fairy Door, tells the story of how grandpa and grandma had a chance encounter with a fairy who brought them on an adventure that ended with the gift of the first fairy door. Amanda will give a fun and informative talk on how to write and self publish your own children’s book: if you’ve ever had an idea for a children’s story and feel you are ready to bring the idea further, Amanda hopes you will be inspired to take the next step.
